Re-examining the efficacy of b-blockers for the treatment of hypertension: a meta-analysis.

En un recientemente metanálisis publicado, investigadores afirmarón que los beta bloqueadores no deben utilizarse para tratar hipertensión, porque la fisiopatología de hipertensión difiere en pacientes mayores y más jovenes. Diseñamos este metaanálisis para aclarar la eficacia de los  beta bloqueadores en los diferentes grupos etarios.
